Gull Family Newsletter!
This year, 2008, has been a very eventful year. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family. Laura started working in February as a CNA in a Nursing home. Then in March started work at the Sanpete Valley Hospital. She loves working in the Nursery with the newborns. Our youngest daughter Annie turned 12 in February and went into Young women’s. She has got to do baptisms for the dead 3 times this year. Also in March, our daughter Leah turned 16. Which means she got her Drivers license and started dating. In May, Ben turned 10. He is growing up so fast and is strong enough to help his dad more often. In June this year, Laura turned 40 and her family and friends threw a big party for her. She is still struggling being so old, ha-ha. In July we had 3 birthdays. Melvin, 42, Sarah, 14, and Denton 8. Sarah is in High school now and is really becoming a beautiful young lady. Denton was baptized in August. The very last one of our kids. Wow they grow up so fast!
This past summer we had a family reunion in Idaho at Nadine and Elwin’s. We celebrated Grandma and Grandpa Tillett’s 50th wedding Anniversary. It was so much fun having all the family together again. Every family member attended. Right after the reunion, our little family left for our vacation. This year we were able to go to Nauvoo. Wow, what a wonderful experience. Our niece Melissa McMillin and Dawnica’s friend Mallory, came along with us. Beth Ann and Jerry met us in Nauvoo, and so did Jean and Wayne from Kentucky. It turned out to be a great trip! We even got to go through the Nauvoo Temple while there.
A few weeks after we returned home, Laura’s parents moved in with us. Laura’s mom has been sick for quite awhile and she needed 24 hr care. So they moved in at the beginning of August. We were able to care for her mom and dad for 3 months. On November 10th Laura’s mother passed away. She is finally at rest. We all love and miss her greatly. Grandpa Tillett has moved back to Provo to be able to work and live. We Loved having both of them in our home and we are grateful for the opportunity to have served them.
Dawnica turned 18 on December 11. She is so grown up and responsible. We are proud of her. She is a senior this year and will graduate in June. Then she hopes to be off to College some where, maybe SUU in Cedar City Utah.
Melvin is still working with General Implement out of Salt Lake. He spends a lot of time on the road from Salt Lake down to Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is hard being gone so much, but things are working out, he is home every weekend, which is nice.
Well as you can see our family is growing up fast. It is hard to believe that we have a 18 year old, thanks Dawnica for making us old. LOL
Our family hopes you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!
We love you all!

Grandma is leaving us.....
Well, are family has had rough week. Our sweet Mama/Grandma has been struggling to leave this world and move on to a great and better place. She has not quite passed on yet, but is very close. She has been basically comotose since wednesday. On wednesday she refused her oxygen and stopped eating and drinking and went to sllep, basically. She hasn't let go yet, it is so hard to see her suffering. Our family has rallied around us and been a great support. We are grateful for them. Laura has enjoyed taking care of her mother in her home. We will update when she passes, and let everyone know when the funeral is.
